HRT Enters Two Ford Mustang GT3 In Nürburgring Endurance Series

Haupt Racing Team (HRT) Ford Performance is hitting the track for the 2025 Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) with a pair of Ford Mustang GT3 racers ready to roll for the first time.

HRT Ford Performance underwent intense testing ahead of the 2025 NLS, which kicks off this weekend at the 70^th ADAC Westfalenfahrt as part of the SP9 Pro class. The No. 2 Ford Mustang GT3 will be driven by Nico Bastian, Arjun Maini, Dennis Olsen, and Frank Stippler. Stippler is a four-time winner in the Nürburgring 24 Hours, while his three codrivers are accomplished drivers themselves, making for a winning team.

The second Ford Mustang GT3 will race with the No. 6 on the doors, and will be split between drivers Dennis Fetzer, Jusuf Owega, David Schumacher, and Dirk Müller. All four of these drivers have raced for HRT on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife in the past, bringing their expertise back to the motorsports outfit for 2025 and beyond.

“The whole team is really looking forward to our first race weekend with the Ford Mustang GT3,” said Ulrich Fritz, CEO of HRT. “We couldn’t have chosen a better location than our home track for the debut. The priority will be to gather data and experience in order to optimally prepare for the 24-hour race in June.”

HRT was founded in 2020 by Hubert Haupt, an accomplished racer himself. The team’s accolades include the 2021 DTM Drivers’ Championship, the 2023 GT World Challenge Europe Drivers’ and Teams’ Titles (Sprint and Silver Cup) and the 2023 and 2024 ADAC GT Masters Teams’ Titles, as well as class wins and podium finishes in the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring and Spa-Francorchamps. In 2025 and beyond, HRT is running the Ford Mustang GT3 with factory support from Ford. The 10-race NLS season begins on March 22^nd, where both of HRT’s Mustang GT3 racers will see competition for the first time.

The Mustang GT3 is proving to be extremely popular both stateside and overseas, set to compete in other European racing series like the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters as well as the NLS.
