Meanwhile, FoMoCo’s crosstown rival, GM, fields two entries in this space: the Buick Enclave (see running Buick Enclave sales) and the Cadillac XT6 (see running Cadillac XT6 sales). The Ford Authority Take

Lincoln Aviator sales posted a very healthy increase during Q4 2024, pushing it into the top five best-selling nameplates in the segment. We attribute this positive movement to wider availability of inventory coupled with a highly competent refreshed model that compares favorably to rivals.

Speaking of competition, the Cadillac XT6 will be dead after 2025 as the GM’s luxury marque pivots toward an all-electric lineup to replace its ICE-powered offerings. For the XT6 that will be the first-ever 2026 Cadillac Vistiq, which debuted as a future Lincoln Aviator rival.

About Lincoln Aviator

The refreshed 2025 Lincoln Aviator features an updated design and interior, while bringing new tech headlined by BlueCruise, Ford’s hands-free highway driving assist technology, available for the first time ever on the Aviator.

Other key changes include updates to the trim level structure, including discontinuation the Grand Touring (plug-in hybrid) option (though a new hybrid version may be on the way, eventually). As such, the 2025 Aviator is offered in just three trims, namely Premiere, Reserve, and Black Label, which adds a Moonbeam Theme.

The updated model ditches the Enhanced Security Package and rear door sunshades as part of Job 2 production.

The 2025 Aviator drops seven exterior colors but adds five new ones. Also, the Jet Appearance Package is now more broadly available and gets two new colors.

Regarding powertrain options, the 2025 Lincoln Aviator comes equipped with just one – the twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 EcoBoost, which generates the same 400 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque as the 2020-2024 models. It is mated to the 10-speed automatic transmission.
