Rolex 24 Winning Mustang GT3 Team Drops In On Ford HQ To Celebrate

The No. 65 Ford Mustang GT3 battled hard against a Corvette at the 2025 Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona, ultimately crossing the line ahead of its crosstown rival to take home the trophy in the GTD Pro division after a hard-fought 24-hour spring. That very race car – and the team behind its performance – stopped by the Ford World Headquarters to celebrate the milestone victory.

Dennis Olsen, Christopher Mies, and Frédéric Vervisch split seat time at the Rolex 24, guiding the Ford Mustang GT3 to the GTD Pro victory. They accompanied the race car to Ford’s headquarters, but not before they received a tour of the Flat Rock Assembly plant, the facility responsible for production of the roadgoing Mustang and the Mustang GT3. The drivers were taken on a tour of the plant and spent time with employees of the facility, signing autographs and answering questions before taking a group photo with the workers responsible for putting the Mustang together.

“It’s very impressive to see the whole structure there and how everything works,” Olsen said, expressing gratitude for the reception. “It was also nice to meet some of the people on all of the lines. They were pretty busy out there, but it was really cool to see them in action and the process from where the shell becomes the car that rolls off the line.”

The drivers took time to make personal connections with Ford employees, leaving a lasting impression on the men and women who have helped the Mustang become the powerhouse it is today. Jacinda Green, who works as a software engineer in Industrial Systems on new model programs, stopped by to visit with Olsen, Mies, and Vervisch, but she was particularly taken with the Ford Mustang GT3 itself.

“This is awesome to see the vehicle and all the dirt and bruises on it,” she said. “Knowing that this car was the vehicle that survived a 24-hour race and then seeing the drivers that went through that is very cool.”

It’s tradition for champion Ford drivers to stop by headquarters and tour the Flat Rock facility. Last year, the NASCAR Truck and Cup Series champions – Ty Majeski and Joey Logano – did the same.

  1. If you don’t stop reporting on all this BoyRacer stuff, Jim and Bill will NEVER get anything worthwhile done and then Ford is toast. Really.

  2. SCEcoboost, you must be one boring soul. Happy to see that Ford has organized “full-circle” events like this. Always a morale boost for most employees.
