Tucci Hot Rods was one of many aftermarket companies to create a custom version of the Ford Maverick following its debut for the 2022 model year, with a brightly-colored example that debuted at the SEMA Show that same year. Tucci’s Maverick was just auctioned off last month too, landing in private hands following the conclusion of its life as a show vehicle. Now, another 2022 Ford Maverick customized by Tucci Hot Rods is also up for auction, giving folks that missed out on the last one another chance to own a unique version of the popular pickup.
This 2022 Ford Maverick is up for grabs at Bring a Trailer sporting a similar overall look when compared to the other one, save for its lack of wild graphics on the outside. In this case, it sports a simpler Shadow Black paint job along with color-matched fender flares, a front lip spoiler, a high-mount rear wing, a custom front bumper, fender vents, and carbon-fiber exhaust tip finishers out back.
Underneath, one will find SC coilovers and custom rear lower control arms, along with 20-inch US Steel wheels with custom gold turbofan covers wrapped with Falken Azenis FK510 tires. Otherwise, the interior is bone stock, and this Ford Maverick is powered by the turbocharged 2.0L I-4 EcoBoost engine delivering power to all four wheels, though it breathes through a custom stainless-steel exhaust system with Borla mufflers.
As Ford Authority reported last August, Tucci Hot Rods actually took inspiration for its first Ford Maverick build from some early sketches of that pickup from The Blue Oval itself, which showed the pickup wearing a wide body, a front splitter, wings, and large, unique wheels. That ultimately inspired Tucci to bring those sketches to life, but perhaps even more interesting is the fact that the new-for-2025 Maverick Lobo looks a lot like that one-off custom and this second example, too.
