The three-row Ford Flex was an excellent family hauler, but the downside to toting children around is, of course, the mess they often leave behind. That’s the story of this Flex, which was recently traded into a dealer who took one look at it and deemed it “uncleanable,” but there’s no vehicle too grimy for The Detail Geek on YouTube, who tackles the seemingly impossible task of making this Flex look new again.
The interior is absolutely filthy, as is the exterior, but The Detail Geek gets right to work with the power washer, cleaning off what appears to be years and years of grime and mud. Dirt and mud spills out of the vehicle’s crevices, indicating that there’s quite a bit of work to be done, but it’s nothing a little elbow grease can’t work out.
Once the interior is nice and clean, it’s time to tackle the interior. It’s covered in a couple inches of crumbs, trash, and who knows what else – some of which needs to be picked out by hand. Once the worst of it is cleaned up, the vacuum cleaner comes to the rescue, pulling the finer nasties out of the carpeting. Even the side panels need steam cleaning to get the gunk out, some of which even need to be removed to really clean up.
The seats are cleaned and dressed, the door panels are treated with UV protectant, and the dashboard is given the same treatment. He finishes up by giving the exterior some finishing touches and a coat of protectant. While the Ford Flex doesn’t look as good as new and probably never will, it looks worlds better than it did when it rolled into the shop.
The Detail Geek takes pride in his work, even extending his expertise to his personal vehicle, a Ford F-150 Raptor that was in desperate need of some TLC after a long, hard winter season.

I worked for Enterprise at one time. People are disgusting. Most rentals are returned looking like garbage on the inside, especially mini vans. Morons, all.
