1989 Ford Bronco II With Just 9K Miles Up For Auction

Not too long ago, a 1989 Ford Bronco II that had barely been driven off the lot surfaced, attracting the attention of a YouTuber interested in acquiring the vintage SUV. Unfortunately, he was outbid and the Bronco II went to someone else, but all is not lost – that very same SUV is currently up for sale online, and it still has just 9,000 miles racked up on the odometer.

This 1989 Ford Bronco II Eddie Bauer, posted on Bring a Trailer, was purchased new in 1989 and stayed in the family of its original owner until it changed hands in 2025. The SUV features a Cabernet Red finish paired with Light Sandalwood lower body panels and pinstriping, and also includes low-mount mirrors, a roof rack, chrome bumpers, and Ford branded mudflaps. It rolls on a set of 15-inch five-spoke cast aluminum wheels with a full-size spare on the rear carrier.

Inside, this 1989 Ford Bronco II features Light Sandalwood colored upholstery, complete with patterned cloth inserts and Eddie Bauer script on the seatback. Amenities include air conditioning, a floor-mounted center console, rear cargo cover, power windows and locks, along with an aftermarket head unit.

Under the hood, this 1989 Ford Bronco II harnesses a fuel-injected 2.9L V6 engine, rated to produce 140 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque. Power is routed via the four-speed automatic transmission, delivered to either the rear two wheels or all four wheels.

The window sticker is included, indicating that the original buyer shelled out $18,495, roughly equivalent to $47,675 when adjusted for inflation. Its current owner purchased it for $23,100 at the most recent auction, and at the time of this writing, the high bid is just over $17,500.

It’s worth noting that the Ford Bronco II was named on Hagerty’s 2025 Bull Market list. That means that it’s one of the classic vehicles that is most likely to appreciate over the next year, despite its controversial existence steeped in wrongful death lawsuits due to a high rollover rate.

  1. It amazes me that Ford is always trying to improve their brand! I have a suggestion! Train your technicians on how to change oil. Every time that I had Ford service my Transit van something was always messed up when they got done! From leaving the oil filler cap off, To not adjusting the pressure in the tires when they were rotated, to raising the vehicle up on the running boards! I have given up on Ford and do my own servicing!
