Most remember the Ford Windstar as the model that replaced the Aerostar years ago, in a time when folks gravitated toward minivans in throes. That’s no longer the case, as most consumers have moved on to things like crossovers and SUVs as their preferred family hauling vehicles of choice, and we rarely see a Ford Windstar on the road today – let alone for sale in any capacity. However, this 2002 Ford Windstar just surfaced for sale at auction, and it has 55k miles on the clock, to boot.
This particular Windstar is up for grabs at Bring a Trailer after living its entire life in Florida under just two owners thus far, but now, it’s seeking a third (not including the selling dealer). It’s finished in Spruce Green with pinstripes, bright trim, and Light Parchment Gold lower bodywork, along with a keyless-entry keypad, a roof rack, heated mirrors with integrated indicator lights, 16-inch alloy wheels, and two power-operated sliding doors. It remains in great shape overall, though some rock chips on the hood have been refinished.
Inside the cabin, one will find Medium Parchment leather in nice condition, plus a CD/cassette stereo, power adjustable pedals, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, HomeLink transmitter, floor and overhead consoles, second-row captain’s chairs, and dual-zone climate control with auxiliary rear controls. Power comes from the naturally-aspirated Ford 3.8L V6, which was factory rated to produce 200 horsepower and 240 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission driving the front wheels.
Those in the market for a nice, low-mile Ford Windstar may very well want to try and bring this one home, because it isn’t often that we see nice examples of that van pop up for sale. In fact, this is just the second Windstar ever listed on BaT – the last one was a 2002 LX with a mere 2,400 miles that was sold on the same auction site back in September 2023, in fact.

Better off holding out for an Aerostar.
