The Ford F-150 has long been one of the top-selling vehicles on earth, and is a common sight on the roads as a result. That popularity has also made earlier F-150 models quite collectible and valuable over the years, too, a phenomenon that seems to be creeping up into more recent generations as of late. That includes models produced and sold in the 2000s and even 2010s, as we’ve seen quite a few pop up at collector car auctions as of late – a list that now includes this rather nice 2008 Ford F-150 Lariat.
This 2008 Ford F-150 Lariat is up for auction at Bring a Trailer with 59k miles on the clock, and it’s a SuperCrew, four-wheel drive model that’s in great shape after spending time in Virginia and Texas. It’s finished in Oxford White paint with Pueblo Gold lower accents, and is equipped with a set of side steps, a Retrax tonneau cover, a hood deflector, and a keyless entry pad. The truck’s Carfax notes that it suffered “minor damage” of some sort in February, and there’s a crack in the windshield, however.
Inside, one will find heated, power-adjustable, tan leather front captain’s chairs showing a little bit of normal wear on the bolsters, with amenities including the Audiophile sound system, power windows, and automatic climate control. Power comes from the naturally-aspirated 5.4L V8 Triton engine, which was factory-rated to produce 300 horsepower and 365 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission.
This is just the latest modern Ford F-150 that we’ve seen surface for sale at auction recently, a list that continues to grow quickly. Back in February, we came across a 2005 XL with a manual transmission and 13k miles on the clock, and it was joined by an equally bare bones 65k-mile 2005 F-150 XL a month later.
