We’ve certainly seen our fair share of Ford Mustang models from all of the pony car’s many generations cross plenty of auction blocks over the years, and we aren’t just talking about special, rare, or limited-production variants. Rather, we’ve also come across plenty of regular, run-of-the-mill Ford Mustang models at collector car auctions, typically, ones with few miles on the clock that have been well-kept over the years. That’s precisely the case with this rather stellar 2016 Ford Mustang GT, too.
This 2016 Ford Mustang GT is up for auction at Bring a Trailer with just 8k miles on the clock, and it’s finished in the rather stunning color known as Guard Metallic, too. It has lived with two owners thus far, with the most recent purchasing it in 2023 and proceeding to add around 1,000 miles to its low tally. There are no flaws noted in this listing as it pertains to the exterior, which features a front splitter, automatic HID headlights, fog lights, LED taillights, and black 19-inch 10-spoke aluminum wheels wrapped with Pirelli P Zero tires.
Inside the cabin, one will find Ebony cloth seats that look like brand new, which is true of the interior, in general. This Ford Mustang is equipped with the optional GT Performance Package, which added a strut-tower brace, a larger rear sway bar, heavy-duty front springs, package-specific chassis tuning, a K-member brace, and Brembo six-piston front calipers. Power comes from the 5.0L V8 Coyote engine, originally rated to send 435 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission.
Along with this stellar Ford Mustang GT, we’ve seen some other nice examples of pony cars from the S550 generation surface for sale as of late, too. That list includes a rather rare 2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT-H, as well as a 2017 Mustang Shelby GT350 with just 7k miles, too.
