2020 Ford GT Carbon Series With 230 Miles Heading To Auction

The Ford GT remains a regular on the auction circuit, some time after the latest-generation example of the sports car went out of production, and we’re seeing values continue to rise, too. That’s especially true of rarer variants of the Ford GT, such as the Carbon Series, which came equipped with a variety of lightweight components – albeit, for a hefty price. Thus, those same machines sell for big bucks whenever they surface for sale, and that’s almost sure to be the case with this 2020 Ford GT Carbon Series with just 230 miles on the clock.

This 2020 Ford GT Carbon Series is slated to be auctioned off at Mecum’s upcoming Indy sale in May, and in this case, it’s finished in Frozen White with a variety of high-dollar options including the Carbon Red Graphics Package (which cost $27,800 new), as well as the Gloss Exterior Carbon Fiber Package. Other notable features include exposed carbon-fiber stripes, 20-inch carbon fiber wheels, a polycarbonate engine cover, gloss carbon-fiber exterior trim, and titanium lug nuts.

Inside the cabin, one will find Alcantara-covered Sparco seats with manually reclining carbon-fiber shells and six-point harnesses, along with an exposed carbon fiber dash, door sills, and center console, plus an integrated tubular steel roll cage. As is the case with all Ford GT models from this generation, this one is powered by a high-output version of the twin-turbocharged 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine, which in this guise was factory-rated to send 660 horsepower and 550 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels via a Getrag seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transaxle.

We’ve seen a few Ford GT Carbon Series models surface for sale at auction in recent months, which isn’t terribly surprising given how much they’ve increased in value since new. That list includes a Heritage Blue 2019 model with 3,300 miles, as well as an Ingot Silver example with 800 miles.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
