2022 Ford Bronco Hennessey Velociraptor 400 Heading To Auction

It wasn’t too long after the sixth-generation Ford Bronco debuted for the 2021 model year when Hennessey announced that it would be building a fortified version of the off-road SUV dubbed the VelociRaptor 400. Production of that model didn’t begin until early 2022, however, and a few months later, it was joined by the VelociRaptor 500, which is based on the Ford Bronco Raptor. Now, those interested in purchasing a 2022 Ford Bronco Hennessey VelociRaptor 400 have the chance to do so second hand.

This 2022 Ford Bronco Hennessey VelociRaptor 400 is set to be auctioned off at Barrett-Jackson’s Palm Beach, Florida sale later this month, with a reasonable 12,653 miles showing on the odometer. Based on the Badlands trim, this two-door Bronco is equipped with a variety of upgrades including 18-inch Hennessey wheels wrapped with 35-inch off-road tires, a front and rear leveling kit, power side steps, VelociRaptor bumpers, fog lights, and high-clearance fender flares.

On top of all that, one will also find a variety of goodies inside the cabin that include embroidered headrests, a serial numbered plaque, leather seats, and all of the upgraded amenities offered from the factory. Under the hood, the VelociRaptor 400 gets a tune, an upgraded exhaust system, a high-flow air induction system, and an engine management software upgrade, helping its twin-turbocharged 2.7L V6 EcoBoost engine produce 405 horsepower and 503 pound-feet of torque, which is an increase of 75 horsepower and 88 pound-feet of torque over stock.

When new, the Ford Bronco Hennessey VelociRaptor 400 started out at around $80,000 and was limited to just 200 units of production, so it’ll be interesting to see what this example hammers for when the auction is over. We last saw one of these fortified SUVs hit the auction block last June, and it wound up hammering for a reasonable $70,500 – thought that one only had a mere 300 miles on the odometer when it was sold.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
