Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning pickups over an issue with the battery pack. This recall expands previous recall number 24V-144.
The defect: in affected vehicles, the fasteners that secure the junction box bus bars inside the high-voltage battery pack may not have been tightened securely, which can cause electrical arcing at the busbars.
The hazards: electrical arcing increases the risk of a fire. In addition, a loss of drive power may occur, which can increase the risk of a crash.
Ford is not aware of any reports of accidents or injuries related to this condition.

Affected vehicles: select 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning pickups built between November 23rd, 2022 and March 31st, 2023.
Number of vehicles affected: 3
The fix: dealers will inspect and repair the busbar fasteners and replace any damaged components as necessary, free of charge.
Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which will begin May 19th, 2025. The Ford reference number for this recall is 24S11.

Just 3 ?! How about F call the individual owners directly and have the local dealer stop by for a quick fix. Maybe a few Bojangles gift certificates to ease the pain of the ” Recall “.
I can’t think of a more basic problem than not tightening a bolt properly. I mean come on Ford. Everything you assemble has a torque spec and your assembly tools all tighten to that torque.
What the hell Ford!?!? You guys can’t even tighten a bolt properly????
