2025 Ford F-150 Beats Toyota Tundra, Ram 1500 In New Comparison

The Ford F-150 has long maintained its position at the top of the sales charts. In fact, it just keeps wiping out its rivals, both in terms of sheer sales figures and on-the-road tests from third party entities, whether its the Ford F-150 Lightning winning out over the Chevy Silverado EV, the F-150 Tremor putting its competitors to shame, or the F-150 besting the Ram 1500 in a comparison. Add another win to the 2025 Ford F-150 trophy case, as it was recognized as the winner in a comparison against the Ram 1500 and the Toyota Tundra.

The latest comparison, performed by Kelley Blue Book, pitted the 2025 Ford F-150 against the 2025 Ram 1500 and the 2025 Toyota Tundra. The publication says that half-ton pickups are the “modern day family trucksters,” offering excellent payload and towing capacity, as well as off-roading abilities right from the showroom floor while being comfortable enough to be daily drivers. They ranked each pickup based on their criteria for being the best choice for the most people.

The 2025 Toyota Tundra ranked third of the three. While it was praised for its “unibody SUV driving experience,” it doesn’t cater to the seasoned pickup owner, because “there will be too much Camry in this for you,” according to KBB’s Sean Tucker. The Ram 1500 slotted in right above the Tundra, dinged for its “spartan” interior, but praised for its attractive exterior styling – which is arguably its strongest selling point.

The 2025 Ford F-150, meanwhile, was voted as the best option of the three by leaps and bounds. KBB praised it for its wide range of trims and powertrains, along with its all-around performance from towing to comfort. The ride felt solid, but feels even better with a payload or trailer. The 2025 Ford F-150 also has plenty of neat features that set it apart from the competition, including its exterior bed step, tailgate step with a handrail, and of course, the split tailgate.

“The F-150 proved capable, powerful, and as functional or luxurious as you want,” stated KBB. “It has a wide range of thoughtful features that make using a truck much easier… From configuration options to durability, this is a truck that’s tough to beat.”
