2025 Ford F-150 Hybrid Recalled Over Incorrect Fuse

Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2025 Ford F-150 models equipped with the twin turbocharged 3.5L V6 PowerBoost hybrid powerplant due to the presence of an incorrect fuse.

The defect: in affected vehicles, the high voltage battery junction box may contain an incorrect fuse, which can fail and result in a sudden loss of drive power.

The hazards: a sudden loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.

Ford is not aware of any reports of accidents or injuries related to this condition.

Components: 60-amp fuse

Affected vehicles: select 2025 Ford F-150 PowerBoost hybrid models produced between January 30th, 2025, and February 5th, 2025.

Number of vehicles affected: 47

The fix: dealers will replace the incorrect 60-amp fuse with a 150-amp fuse, free of charge.

Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which will begin April 14th, 2025. The Ford reference number for this recall is 25S29.
