The 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning was kept under wraps until recently, when The Blue Oval finally revealed that the all-electric pickup received modest updates, including a brand-new package and software updates. Turns out, that includes an update that audiophiles will appreciate: the addition of SiriusXM 360L as standard fare across the lineup.
SiriusXM 360L technology brings SiriusXM satellite and streaming features together, giving the listener a 360-degree sound stage in the cabin of the 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning. This feature is now standard on the entry level XLT trim, along with the fleet-only Pro trim, making it more widely available across the lineup. It remains standard on Flash, Lariat, and Platinum trims, meaning it does not add any extra cost to the electric pickup.
Note that the SiriusXM 360L package includes a three-month complimentary trial. Beyond that, however, the owner of the 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning must pay for the subscription to the service. Ford notes that the service is not offered to customers in Alaska or Hawaii at this time.
Other standout updates include the addition of the new Dark Elements appearance package, which is offered as a $1,000 option on the Platinum trim. It adds 22-inch black-painted wheels, black Ford ovals and badging, and a black interior. The electric pickup also gets BlueCruise 1.4, which is designed to provide a smoother, more natural hands-free highway driving experience, and maximum DC fast charging current has improved from 450 amps to 500 amps.
Production of the 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning at the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center is now in full swing despite a significant delay. Operations initially kicked off in November 2024, but the automaker ultimately opted to idle it for seven weeks, starting at the end of the day on November 15th, 2024 and resuming on January 6th, 2025 in response to cooling demand for the electric pickup.
As such, The Blue Oval did not increase pricing for 2025 F-150 Lightning compared to its 2024 model year counterpart. The entry level XLT trim maintains its starting price of $62,995, not including destination freight charges.

So……the sound quality will still sound like it still coming out of a tin can, right?
