2025 Ford F-150 Lightning Grilles: Everything You Need To Know

The 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning soldiers on largely unchanged from its 2024 model year counterpart, meaning it carries on with the same four trims: XLT, Flash, Platinum, and Lariat. Those four trims share two front “grilles,” and below, Ford Authority breaks down the details regarding the electric pickup’s front end.

The entry level 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning XLT , along with the Flash trim, both feature a Carbon Black front grille that contrasts nicely with the Signature Light Bar running across its top. The Blue Oval badge itself is blue, situated right in the center of that blacked-out grille.

The 2025 Ford F-150 Lariat and Platinum, meanwhile, get a distinguished Premium Geometric Gray-ion fine Satin Metallic grille beneath that same Signature Light Bar that connects the headlights. The Ford badge in the center is colored blue as standard. However, opting for the $1,000 Dark Elements Package – an all-new bundle offered exclusively on the Platinum trim – fits the electric pickup with a black Ford oval instead.

The 2025 F-150 Lightning is fitted with a handful of updates. In addition to the aforementioned Dark Elements Package, the electric pickup gets BlueCruise 1.4, which is designed to provide a smoother, more natural hands-free highway driving experience. Additionally, maximum DC fast charging has improved from 450 amps to 500 amps.

Production of the 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning at the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center is now in full swing despite a significant delay. Operations initially kicked off in November 2024, but the automaker ultimately opted to idle it for seven weeks, starting at the end of the day on November 15th, 2024 and resuming on January 6th, 2025.

In terms of pricing, the 2025 F-150 Lightning holds steady when compared to its 2024 model year counterpart. The entry level XLT trim goes for a cool $62,995, excluding destination freight charges (DFC), representing no change from the 2024 model year. On the other end of the spectrum, the range topping Platinum trim starts at $854,995, excluding DFC.

  1. Ok, I’ll be the first to say that although I love my Lariat Lightning, $854,995 is too much to upgrade to a Platinum…just saying.
