The Ford Mustang Mach-E tends to attract lease shoppers. In fact, the majority of buyers choose to lease the all-electric crossover rather than purchase it outright. Currently, it’s one of the least expensive vehicles to lease overall – even cheaper than the Ford Escape, despite the fact that the EV has a higher sticker price than its gasoline-burning counterpart.
According to a report from CarsDirect, the 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E Select – the entry level trim – is available for lease at $349 per month for 36 months and $4,499 due up front at signing. That lease is based on an MSRP of about $39,000 and just over 10,000 miles annually, which roughly equates to about $474 monthly in California.
Comparatively, 2025 Ford Escape lease deals include $470 per month for 36 months for the base Active trim, with $3,604 due at signing. That’s the equivalent to a $570 payment per month, based on a $30,640 MSRP for the internal combustion engine (ICE) based crossover. That’s almost $100 more than the lease deals offered up for the 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E despite the difference in sticker prices.
There just aren’t many deals in place that are applicable toward the 2025 Ford Escape this month, particularly for buyers in the market for a lease. In fact, Ford has been extending its lease period to 48 months in some cases to make the prices appear lower to attract potential buyers. On the other end of the spectrum, the 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E is a cost-effective vehicle to lease, and Ford’s even offering to install a home charger at no cost to stimulate interest in its all-electric offering, although buyers can choose to forego the charger installation in favor of a $500 lease credit.
This isn’t a new phenomenon. Facing tighter competition and cooling demand for electric vehicles in general, The Blue Oval has been sweetening the lease of the Ford Mustang Mach-E for some time, even matching the deals available on the affordable Ford Maverick hybrid in the past.

Not a chance for the Mach-E. And I’m not the leasing type, either.
No one obviously asked you specifically.
Thanks, we were concerned about whether you wanted one.
Fake news. The Escape offers a $3,000 discount if moving from one Escape lease to another.
“fake news”? You’ve been trained well to repeat that line. This isn’t news, it’s an article about leasing. Answer the call of the fatherland and get a Tesla.
Puma Gen-E please.
Fix the doors on the Mach-E first:
– Mechanical handles so I can get in if the 12v is dead
– Move the interior window and lock controls further back on the door so the passenger doesn’t need to get out of their seat to operate them
