2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E Gets Heat Pump, ‘Superstalk’ Gear Shift

The 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E debuted last October for the North American market bearing a host of updates, which has become the norm for the EV crossover with each passing model year. Most notably, those updates included the addition of a new standard heat pump, the Sport Appearance Package for the Premium trim, a column shifter that replaces the console-mounted unit, the new Ford Connectivity Package, and three new exterior color options. Now, the 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E for Europe has debuted with some similar updates.

Those updates include the same standard heat pump – joining the European Transit lineup – which helps optimize energy consumption, particularly in colder weather conditions, and results in less range loss in that regard. However, as Ford Authority previously reported, this new part also results in a frunk that’s 40 percent smaller than before, too. Inside, the European 2025 Mach-E has been treated to a refreshed SYNC 4A interface, and the gear selector has also been relocated to the steering column. The wiper and indicator controls have migrated to what Ford calls the “Superstalk,” freeing up additional space in the center console.

The 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E gets three new exterior color options in Europe – Velocity Blue, Molten Magenta, and Terrain, while a new black-painted front splitter has been added, and the GT model now sports a black front grille. Base models are getting alloy wheels that were previously reserved only for Premium trimmed crossovers, and those same Premium models can now be had with optional 19-inch, black-painted alloy wheels as well.

“We’ve built strong relationships with our customers over the last four years, and continue to make upgrades based on their feedback,” said Donna Dickson, Mustang Mach-E chief engineer. “We’re dedicated to giving them the best version of Mustang Mach-E possible, and that means giving them features they have been asking for, like the new heat pump and more interior space up front.”

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

  1. How about a closer look at the updated controls? I’m interested in what specifically layout now looks like, especially this “super stalk.”

  2. It’s getting better. Now it just needs a completely new interior with better fit and finish, actual buttons and knobs, and a moonroof that opens.
