The 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning brings a few updates to the table, including the addition of an all-new exterior aesthetic package. That brings the total to three optional packages offered on the electric pickup, and below, Ford Authority outlines exactly what’s included in each one, including their pricing, content, and availability by trim level where applicable.
Tow Technology Package
The Tow Technology Package is identifiable by option code 17V. It’s standard on all four trims, meaning it’s included at no extra cost on the 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning XLT, F-150, Flash, Lariat, and Platinum. Content bundled into this package is as follows:
- 360 Degree Camera
- Pro Trailer Backup Assist
- Pro Trailer Hitch Assist
- Trailer Reverse Guidance
- Mirrors, Sideview – Manual-folding, Power Glass with Heat, Turn Signal and Black Skull Caps
- LED Sideview Mirror Spotlights
Max Trailer Tow Package
Tagged with option code 53D, the Max Trailer Tow Package is optional on XLT, Flash, and Lariat trims. Priced at $1,000, this package bundles the following towing equipment, which increases the max towing capacity of the electric pickup:
- E-Locker
- Hill Descent Control
- Trailer Brake Controller
- Increased Tow Capability
Dark Elements Package
All-new for the 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning Platinum, the Dark Elements Package fits the electric pickup with a number of dark-themed exterior accents for a more sinister look. It’s offered for $1,000, and includes the following content:
- 22-inch Black Painted Aluminum Wheels
- Black Premium Nirvana Leather Seats
- Black Ford Ovals
- Black Series Badging
- Black Tailgate Badging
- Dark Retroreflective Vinyl Bedside Badging
In addition to the aforementioned Dark Elements Package, the 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning receives other notable changes, including the addition of vBlueCruise 1.4, while maximum DC fast charging has improved from 450 amps to 500 amps. While the electric pickup was expected to ditch its factory installed SecuriCode keyless entry keypad altogether, it retains the feature on two trims, while it’s a dealer-installed option on the others.
Pricing didn’t budge compared to the 2024 model year F-150 Lightning. The base XLT trim carries a starting price of $62,995, not including destination freight charges. Production is handled at the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center, currently in full swing as of January 2025.
