Just a few days ago – on the very same day that 25 percent tariffs on imported autos took effect in the U.S. – Ford opened up its employee pricing for everyone plan, which does precisely what it sounds like – provides all American customers with the chance to purchase a new vehicle at special Blue Oval worker pricing. There are some exceptions in terms of which models apply, but customers can certainly save a lot of money via this new deal. However, as one might also imagine, there are a couple of exceptions to the incentive, and one is rather notable.

In this post on Instagram, Ford notes that “dealer participation is discretionary. Limited U.S. states only,” meaning that one can’t simply waltz into any old dealership and take advantage of this new incentive, which runs through June 2nd.
As Ford Authority previously reported, there are also several models that are excluded from the offer – the Ford Ranger Raptor, Ford Bronco Raptor, and Ford F-150 Raptor, as well as “specialty” Ford Mustang (Dark Horse and GTD) and Ford Bronco (Stroppe Edition) models, the redesigned 2025 Ford Expedition and 2025 Lincoln Navigator, the 2025 Ford Super Duty lineup, F-450 and F-550 Chassis Cabs, E-450 Cutaway and E-450 Stripped Chassis, F-53 Class A Motorhome Chassis and F59 Commercial Stripped Chassis, plus the F-650 and F-750 Chassis Cab.
As Ford Authority recently reported, the employee pricing for everyone program is essentially the same as the existing A-Plan pricing for regular, non-affiliated customers – basically, those customers pay the invoice price on a vehicle, minus holdback and advertising fees, plus an additional $275 for a program fee. Stellantis opted to launch a similar program of its own a mere day later, but General Motors announced that it won’t be following suit.

Locally, Ford Escapes on dealer lots (not subject to tariffs) are $4K higher this month than last so apparently, this whole thing is a sham.
I’ve never qualified for A-Plan but have bought a few cars under the X-Plan for suppliers/partners. That one has always been voluntary for dealers, but I’ve never had a problem.
The best part for me has been that it’s a fixed price, no dealer markups, no “Let me talk to my manager…”, etc.
Ford dealer in Northern Illinois still doing $5k dealer markups on all their vehicles!
Two days ago, I went into Baxter Ford South in Omaha, Ne. I’ve been watching this 2DR Black Diamond Bronco ($43,000) since last SEPTEMBER. It was $38,000, but waited to pay off more of my 2023 F150. It has 3,200 miles on it. As of 2 days ago, the salesman told me that even though the FATA plan was advertised on the dealers website, there was no discount on this Bronco. And I was offered $34,000 for my trade.
Be VERY CAREFUL folks.
,
Since dealers are not required to honor employee pricing for everyone, means they’re putting profits above customer service, which will chase customers away, sales should remain stagnant
As always, car dealers suck and you never get the deal you think you are getting. That’s the shell game they play. I know Hell has a special place for car dealerships.
And an even more special place for Ford that keeps promising BlueCruise updates that never come.
maybe , Ram or Toyota are taking away sales of Fords , and will stick with their purchasing on other name brands . Some times purchasers will stay away from Fords for thirty years before talking to a Ford Dealer ! I know of a person who stopped buying a Ford car from 1972 until 2005 !
I saw the misleading ad on TV. Actually, pretty close to false advertising, I’m afraid.
Any popular truck or SUV not included! That’s false advertising I say! Only one that could be excluded is the Raptor S. I’m done with ford.
