The redesigned 2025 Ford Expedition officially broke cover last October, bringing a host of updates to the full-size SUV both inside and out. That redesign included a completely overhauled cockpit with the addition of a new 24-inch panoramic display that doubles as the instrument cluster paired with a 13.2-inch center screen running Ford Digital Experience software. That revamped interior has turned heads at Wards Auto, landing the Expedition on the publication’s 2025 10 Best Interior & UX Award list.

Beyond the cutting edge infotainment and instrument displays, Wards commended the 2025 Ford Expedition for its comforting interior colorways. That list includes Dark Gray, Space Gray, Salt Crystal Gray, Mojave Dusk, and Mesa (plus the Tremor trim’s more exciting Black Onyx/Electric Spice). In fact, most of the models on the list feature lighter interior tones paired with a bolder color.

“Half of our winning vehicles – the Buick Enclave, Cadillac Optiq, Ford Expedition, Hyundai Ioniq 9 and Volvo EX90 – have interiors leaning heavily on ivory or pale beige and gray tones,” said Christie Schweinsberg, Wards 10 Best Interiors & UX program manager and judge. “This creates a serene space for drivers and passengers and helps soften the stress that can come with increasing amounts of technology in modern automobiles, as well as driving on increasingly traffic-clogged roadways.”

Additionally, the 2025 Ford Expedition was recognized for its superior user experience system running an Android operating system. It was also recognized for its unique Flex Powered Console, along with its cutting edge infotainment system offering apps like Amazon Prime Video, Max, and Peacock.

The 2025 Ford Expedition landed on the Best Interior & UX Award list alongside the Buick Enclave, Cadillac Optiq, Dodge Charger Daytona, GMC Yukon Denali, Hyundai Ioniq 9, Kia K4, Nissan Kicks, Toyota 4Runner, and Volvo EX90. It’s also not the first Blue Oval vehicle to get the honors, joining the 2024 Lincoln Nautilus, the Ford F-150 Lightning, the 2022 Ford Maverick, the 2021 Ford F-150 Limited, and the 2020 Lincoln Aviator.
