Ford F-150 Driver Thinks They Can Completely Cut The Line: Video

Statistically speaking, the American driver spends about an hour a year waiting at stoplights – which accumulates to a little over sixth months by the end of the average lifespan. While most red lights are a mere inconvenience for only a few minutes at a time, some drivers will do whatever it takes to avoid losing time at stoplights, although the driver of one Ford F-150 took things a bit too far, treating a lane on the wrong side of a double yellow like their own personal turn lane.

Video screenshot of the white Ford F-150 blowing through a stoplight, cutting in front of traffic by crossing the double yellow.

Appropriately, the cammer posted their dascham video to the Reddit community r/IdiotsInCars. The lifted white Ford F-150 is visible from both the rear dashcam and the front, and enters the frame from the rearward facing video already breaking the law. There’s a stop sign for traffic headed the opposite direction, but the F-150 blatantly ignores it, heading the wrong way across the double yellow line anyway as they whip past the line of cars waiting at the stoplight.

Unphased, the Ford F-150 continues driving down the wrong lane. They don’t even pretend to stop at the stoplight – which is still red, mind you – and immediately blow through the light, hanging a right in front of the stopped line of cars. Then, they continue on their way just as the light turns green and the rest of traffic is allowed to proceed. Sure, the F-150 saved a little bit of time, but it certainly wasn’t enough to risk life and limb by driving on the wrong side of the road.

There’s something with Ford F-150 drivers and red lights, apparently. Another cammer caught a pickup ignoring a red light and pulling in front of traffic as slowly as they possibly could. Another Ford F-150 driver – proudly displaying their company name on the back window – decided they were far more important than any other motorist on the road, cutting in just to run a red light.

  1. You said 1hr per year on and which makes sense but then said that would be 6 months over a lifespan… say if u base it off of 72yrs that would be 72hrs or 3days not 4320hrs or 6 months

  2. The sad part is, if you confront someone who does things like this and ask them why, they tend to think they’re justified and more intelligent than other people. How does one get to adulthood and avoid the concept that they have to wait in life, sometimes? I don’t know, but it’s a bewildering phenomenon.
