About Ford F-150 Lightning

The 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning gets a new package and software updates. That includes the new Dark Elements appearance package, available on the Platinum trim level, adding 22-inch black-painted wheels, black Ford ovals and badging, and a black interior.

Here are all three 2025 F-150 Lightning packages explained and everything you need to know about the grilles. The 2025 drops the Avalanche paint color but adds a new Space White Metallic hue.
The all-electric full-size pickup truck also gets BlueCruise 1.4, which offers a smoother, more natural hands-free highway driving experience, and the maximum DC fast charging current has improved from 450 amps to 500 amps.

F-150 Lightning customers can now access real-time charging information in the vehicle (including current charging speed), set a universal charge limit for all locations instead of only for an individual charger, and schedule preferred charge times at specific locations. North American Charging Standard (NACS) fast charging stations have now been integrated into Apple CarPlay, and customers can purchase an optional Tesla adapter that enables them to use those types of chargers.

The 2025 F-150 Lightning is one of several of The Blue Oval models to ditch its factory SecuriCode keyless entry keypad in favor of a dealer-installed part, and drops the standard eLocking rear axle, as the automaker has opted to include the E-Locker (as it’s otherwise known) as part of the optional Max Trailer Tow Package. Meanwhile, the 2025 model has also ditched the Interior Work Surface feature for the XLT and Flash trims, though it’s still standard on the Lariat and Platinum. But, the Flash trim gains standard ActiveX seating instead of cloth, while across the lineup the spare tire is now optional, replaced by the Tire Inflator and Seal Kit.

Notably, 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning retains the 2024 lineup’s pricing, with only the destination and delivery charge increasing by $100 to $2,195.

  1. They had better discounts before employee discounts and better interest rates on financing saved allot more money before employee pricing. Now its regular rates which cost you allot more in the long run. Its just a gimmick this employee pricing it may sound good until you get to the final numbers.

  2. A far, far, far, far, far cry from the $39k when they were originally produced just a few years ago.
