Ford has been offering mobile service in a variety of countries across the globe for years now, and it continues to grow in popularity, as one might expect. After all, having the ability to get one’s vehicle serviced without leaving their home or office is incredibly convenient and a big time saver. Ford Pro has also been offering mobile service for some time in places like the U.S. and Europe, and now, it’s adding another market to that list – the South American country of Brazil.
Ford Pro Mobile Service has officially launched in Brazil, utilizing specially-outfitted Ford Transit vans to visit commercial locations and perform maintenance tasks on the go. Ford Pro is the very first in that country to offer mobile service of any kind, giving it a big advantage in terms of offering fleets the ability to go on about their business, uninterrupted, while keeping their vehicles maintained at the same time.
For now, Ford Pro Mobile Service can complete around 80 percent of common maintenance items, including oil and filter changes, fluid service, exterior lighting replacement, windshield wipers, batteries, recalls, tire rotations, scanning and diagnostics, software updates, and the installation of accessories. Customers won’t pay extra for mobile service over what these things would cost at a dealer as well, and also don’t have to pay a travel fee if they reside within 30 kilometers of a dealer. Service can be requested via the FordPass app, Ford’s website, or dealers.
For now, Ford Pro customers in Brazil can get mobile service from one of nine dealers – Caminho (São José do Rio Preto, SP), Studio (Guarulhos and São Paulo, SP), Brasauto (Belo Horizonte, MG), Disbrava (Cuiabá, MT), Indiana (Salvador and Lauro de Freitas, BA), Fenix (Belém, PA), Ciaasa (Goiânia, GO), Slaviero (Curitiba, PR) and Slaviero Brasília (DF). Soon, it will also be available at Buriti (Barreiras, BA), Superauto (Santa Maria, RS) and Amazon (Caxias do Sul, Novo Hamburgo and Santa Cruz do Sul, RS) dealerships, in addition to other locations in the country.
