The Ford Puma has made a big impact in Europe, consistently landing itself atop the list of best-selling vehicles month after month, making it a consumer favorite essentially since it was launched. Throughout the 2024 calendar year, the Ford Puma snagged the honors as the UK’s best-selling vehicle overall, and it was also among the top 20 best sellers in Europe, a trend that continued in the first month of 2025. It maintained its position up ton during March 2025, too.
The latest data from JATO Dynamics reveals that the Ford Puma slotted in 10th among the top 10 most-registered new cars in Europe during March 2025. Specifically, 19,269 units of the Puma were registered that month, up one percent compared to March 2024.
The list was headed by the Peugeot 208 (25,241 registrations), followed by the Dacia Sandero (24,577), Renault Clio (23,062), Nissan Qashqai (22,826), Volkswagen Golf (21,553), Volkswagen T-Roc (21,292), Opel/Vauxhall Corsa (20,143), Peugeot 2008 (19,837) and the Volkswagen Tiguan (19,591). Ford itself, meanwhile, slotted in as the eighth most-registered automaker, up 12 percent to 58,324 units.
The UK was the biggest driver of growth during March, with new vehicle registrations increasing by 13 percent. Italy and Spain also experienced upswings, while Germany and France declined by 3.9 percent and 15 percent, respectively. Overall,1,423,340 units were registered in the region during March, up by 3.2 percent compared to March 2024. All told, 3,383,986 units were registered throughout Q1 2025, compared to 3,384,614 units registered in the year-ago quarter.
March also represented the second-best month on record for battery electric vehicle (BEV) registrations. While adoption of all-electric models has slowed some, they continue to expand their grip on the market. The all-new, all-electric Ford Puma Gen-E debuted for the European market back in December 2024, and the BEV models are being rolled out in Germany, bolstering Ford’s offerings in the country. However, on a greater scale, The Blue Oval is focused on prioritization of the highly-profitable and successful Ford Pro commercial business, which involves “right-sizing” its passenger vehicle business.

This is great news fir the EV Pumas. Too bad the U.S. does not want to buy this EV as its president is supporting the oil consumption, owning his campaign funds from the oil mongers. By 2028 this will change.
I drove by the old Lordstown Motors production facility where they used to build the Endurance E Truck 5 years ago, also built the Chevy Cruze and Vega back in the 70’s. As a Ford shareholder I would like to see the ePuma and hybrid version produced there. Plenty of experienced Ford workers in the CLE to support production .
