Ford rival Ram – which is under the expansive Stellantis umbrella – has been taking steps to position itself as a more formidable rival to The Blue Oval. There’s a lot brewing over in the Ram stable, and, as it turns out, the automaker will be making quite a few announcements throughout the next 18 months.

According to Tim Kuniskis, brand chief executive officer of Stellantis, Ram is prepared to make 25 announcements over the next year and a half. While he didn’t speak to what those announcements will entail, he did indicate that the first reveal is coming on June 8th, 2025, meaning there’s not very long to wait until the cover is pulled off.

“Since [Kuniski’s return to the Ram brand in 2024], we have been shaping the next evolution of Ram — a bold new chapter that honors the legacy of the brand while redefining its future,” Kuniski wrote on social media. “I’m proud to be back, proud be a part of this team, and more determined than ever to show the world… nothing stops Ram.”

Kuniskis has previously argued that Ram needs to bring a Ford Maverick rival to market. Offering a smaller, more affordable pickup would prove to be a great boon for the truck brand. Currently, the only competitor to the Maverick is the Hyundai Santa Cruz, so there’s plenty of room for expansion into the compact pickup space.

The automaker is also planning on bringing a midsize pickup back to the table in 2027 after killing off plans to do exactly that in 2021. Such a model will compete with the Ford Ranger, Toyota Tacoma, Chevy Colorado, Jeep Gladiator, GMC Canyon, and Nissan Frontier.

Stellantis also killed off its V8 engines altogether, replacing them with turbocharged six-cylinder powerplants or all-electric propulsion systems, although the automaker reconsidered that as the market shifted back toward ICE-powered models. The previously discontinued Ram 1500 TRX, which was the only true Ford F-150 Raptor R rival, is also expected to make a comeback in the near future.
