The drop in Ford share values during the week follows a three percent decrease from last week, which in turn followed a three percent increase during the preceding five day trading period.

There were several major developments at Ford during the week. The automakers released its Q1 2025 U.S. sales report. It also announced a new employee pricing for all plan for American car shoppers. Lincoln also announced that its current president is retiring at the end of the month.

Ford share values are one percent lower when compared to the first day of trading in 2025. Wall Street continues to grapple with how it should evaluate legacy automakers in the wake of the ongoing EV transition. Additionally, the tariffs enacted the Trump administration have also upended any expectations about Ford stock in 2025. That said, Ford has frequently shifted its EV product plans and goals, likely adding to skepticism from investors. It has now settled on an “everything for everyone” approach to its lineup that gives buyers a choice between gas, hybrid, and all-electric vehicles.
