About Ford Super Duty
The 2025 Ford Super Duty offers some changes to the trim level lineup along with some shuffling around in terms of standard powertrains. That includes the 2025 Super Duty Platinum trim level getting a bit of its own refresh for the new model year, which adds a new Platinum Plus Package, which replaces the Limited trim, providing special touches coupled with a special ownership experience.
Notably, for 2025, the Lariat gets ActiveX synthetic seating material. Consequently, customers who want a leather interior will need to opt for a higher trim level such as the King Ranch or Platinum. The 2025 model also ditches the Sport Package for the Black Appearance Package.
The XL offers two wheels, the XLT offers three, and the Lariat offers four. Here are the three King Ranch wheels explained and outlined.
The latest FoMoCo model to get rid of the factory SecuriCode keypad, the 2025 Super Duty has also ditched a handful of configurations that include the SuperCab with a 148-inch wheelbase, SuperCab Lariat models, and SuperCab F-350 and F-450 dual rear wheel pickups. In terms of powertrains, the gas 6.8L V8 is now standard equipment on the XL, XLT, and Lariat trims, while the gas 7.3L V8 is standard on the King Ranch and Platinum. The 2025 model adds trailer tire pressure monitoring packages as dealer-installed options.
Pricing revealed for the F-250 shows that it hasn’t changed much, though the Lariat did receive a somewhat substantial boost for 2025 at $2,330.
A Ford Super Duty redesign is on track to debut in 2028 following a mid-cycle refresh scheduled for 2026, with EREV variants (extended-range EVs) set to arrive at some point. The Super Duty was refreshed for 2023.
