Ford’s Garage Plans To Open More Restaurants In Virginia

Ford’s Garage – an officially licensed restaurant chain that features a Blue Oval theme and loads of cool memorabilia – has grown at a truly astounding rate since its first location opened a few years ago, and it hasn’t slowed down one bit, either. Rather, Ford’s Garage continues to open new restaurants across the U.S. on a regular basis, as well as announce plans to expand in various states in the near future as well. Now, it’s targeting the state of Virginia as the future site of more than one new establishment.

According to ALX Now, Ford’s Garage plans to open three new restaurants in Northern Virginia, specifically – Alexandria, Fairfax, and Woodbridge – after reaching a deal with franchisee FG Nova, adding to its existing location in the same state, which is in Richmond. It’s unclear where, exactly, these future Ford’s Garage restaurants will be located, as well as when they might open, but the chain already operates 30 locations across eight U.S. states.

“We’re thrilled to announce our plans for these new locations in Virginia,” said Billy Downs, President of Ford’s Garage. “We’ve received an incredibly warm welcome from the Richmond community at our current location and are thrilled to expand our reach further in the state. The FG Nova franchisee’s commitment to excellence aligns perfectly with our brand values and we’re confident they’re the perfect group of franchisees to lead our growth efforts in Virginia.”

After opening 10 new locations in 2022, Ford’s Garage made some operational changes recently in an effort to reduce the complexity of its menu and improve efficiency. Presumably, those changes have only helped fuel its expansion, as the chain opened its first New York-based location last year, and announced plans to add yet another in the state of Michigan this past January.

  1. Sadly, with the current Canada/US impasse we won’t visit one of these cool restaurants again for about four years.
