Here’s How Many Ford Mustang GTD Coupes Have Been Made So Far

As Ford Authority reported back in March, production of the Ford Mustang GTD is already underway, as CEO Jim Farley announced at that time that “the first 10 are being built as we speak at Multimatic.” Deliveries of the 2025 Ford Mustang GTD are slated to begin in Q2, so it won’t be too much longer before we start to see the new model out in public, but now, we know exactly how many examples of the most potent production pony car to ever exist have been built thus far, too.

In FoMoCo’s March sales report, the automaker revealed that Multimatic produced two Ford Mustang GTD models in January and three in March – meaning that five have thus far been assembled, as none were built in 2024. Farley previously noted that the automaker was past the developmental phase for its new pony car variant, and that it was entering full-scale production after the company sorted out the supply chain for the GTD, too.

The lucky folks that have the means to purchase a Ford Mustang GTD and were approved to do so have access to a special configurator for that model, as Ford Authority recently reported, and one buyer gave us an inside look at that process – along with the options customers can choose from. The Ford Mustang GTD terms of sale include a commitment requiring that owners keep their cars for a minimum of two years, just like the Ford GT – a simulation that aims to prevent folks from flipping those vehicles for a profit, rather than driving and enjoying them.

The 2025 Ford Mustang GTD starts out at $325,000, but as Ford Authority previously reported, the Carbon Series will have an MSRP of $428,000, while the Spirit of America starts out at $429,000 – prices that don’t include any options. It’s worth noting that production of the Spirit of America model is limited to 20 percent of the overall GTD total, so it’s allocated, however.

  1. How many have sold? How many people with an IQ that low who can still legally sign a contract for bill of sale? Just buy two faster, better designed and tested ZR-1’s and live knowing your IQ can withstand the testing.😊
