Petersen Automotive Museum Launches Ken Block Week

It’s been roughly two years since rally racer, longtime Ford partner, and founder of Hoonigan Ken Block tragically lost his life in a snowmobiling accident, but he remains a well-known and celebrated entity among automotive enthusiasts to this day – and likely, that will remain the case forever. The Petersen Automotive Museum is certainly helping to keep Block’s memory alive for future generations, having previously announced that it would be opening a new exhibit called “People’s Champ: The Impact of Ken Block” early this year. Now, it’s launching Ken Block Week to further celebrate the late icon’s impact on the automotive world.

Ken Block Week kicks off at the Petersen Automotive Museum tomorrow, April 3rd, at “Ken Block Day” – where the first 430 guests will receive free admission, courtesy of Borla. Attendees can also partake in tours from Ron Zaras, score a free exclusive poster, and enjoy other perks. The very next day, visitors to the Petersen Automotive Museum can get a second poster for free with a paid admission, this time, depicting the “Hoonipigasus” Porsche 911 racer that Block once owned, and the next day, another poster of the 1977 Ford F-150 known as “Hoonitruck” will also be available.

Capping things off on April 6th is the first-ever 43i cruise-in, set to take place from 8am-2pm. That entire day is also dedicated to honoring the life and legacy of Block, giving fans an exclusive exhibit featuring some of his most iconic builds. Those include the Hoonitruck that starred in in Climbkhana TwoGymkhana Ten, and The Gymkhana Files, as well as the 1965 Ford Mustang known as “Hoonicorn” and Block’s 1994 Ford Escort RS Cosworth, also known as the “Cossie V2.”

Those interested in attending any of these events during Ken Block Week can purchase tickets, or just find more information on what’s included in this special exhibit by heading over here.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
