For a number of years, a company called Centurion Vehicles – which was based out of White Pigeon, Michigan – created some truly unique versions of Ford models that The Blue Oval didn’t. That included things like large SUVs based on the F-Series, as well as oddities such as van/pickup conversions with dual rear wheels. These Ford Centurion models are quickly becoming more coveted and valuable in the collector car world, meaning that this 1995 Ford C-350 XLT is likely to be a hot commodity.
This 1995 Ford C-350 XLT Centurion conversion is up for auction at Cars & Bids in rather nice condition, even if it isn’t exactly bone stock. It essentially mixed elements from an F-350 with a Bronco, transforming the heavy-duty hauler into an SUV, and in this case, it’s finished in Dark Lapis Blue with gold lower bodywork. At the time, Ford didn’t have a proper rival to larger SUVs like the Chevy Tahoe and Suburban, so Centurion essentially filled the gap in that regard.
This particular Centurion conversion has been treated to a host of mods by the seller, too, which include 16.5-inch aftermarket wheels wrapped with 35-inch mud tires, a suspension lift kit with Monroe shocks, plus a Banks Power upgrade kit and exhaust for the turbocharged 7.3L V8 diesel underhood. Otherwise, the custom floor extension installed by Centurion makes room for the rear quarter panels and rear roof cap from a Bronco, as well as three-row seating.
It isn’t terribly often that we see Centurion conversions pop up for sale, which is to be expected given their rarity. We did come across another C-350 from the 1990 model year last August, however, which wound up selling for a solid sum of $40k, as well as a 1993 Centurion Pacifica in September that’s easily one of the longest vehicles we’ve seen hit the roadways.
