We certainly come across our fair share of cool, unique, rare, value, and otherwise interesting Ford vehicles at various auctions on a regular basis – not to mention Ford-branded merchandise and collectibles, to boot. Typically, those vehicles are regular, run-of-the-mill models that aren’t altered in any way – or perhaps modified to make them faster or look cooler – but every so often, we come across a truly unique find. That’s certainly the case with this 1999 Ford E-450 limo bus, which is currently up for auction.
This 1999 Ford E-450 limo bus is being auctioned off at Hagerty as one of several offerings from The Rocket City Collection out of Huntsville, Alabama, after it was originally put together by Krystal Enterprises in Brea, California – an official Qualified Vehicle Modifier (QVM) for Ford. The elongated machine is quite luxurious in many ways, sporting a Silver Metallic paint job on the outside, which looks to be in nice condition – not terribly surprising given the reasonable 46k miles it has traveled thus far.
Inside, one will find a Medium Graphite interior with features including an AM/FM/Cassette stereo system, a Krystal Enterprises HVAC/power control panel, a Voyager intercom system, along with wraparound couches in the rear, coupled with room for plenty of adult beverages – namely, some fine champagne and the nice glasses folks like to drink it out of. It’s a fancy cabin for certain, and one that makes this Ford E-450 perfect for hauling folks around town to special events.
We certainly can imagine the new owner using this limo bus for precisely those reasons, as it seems like a great candidate for a business of that sort. It’ll probably cost less to procure in this manner than building one outright too, as we’ve seen just how complicated – and expensive – such a thing can be for folks that try to do it themselves.
