The Ford Crown Victoria has been a regular sight on various collector car auction sites over the past few years, and for good reason – cars like it just don’t exist anymore. Those looking for a new large, rear-wheel drive, V8-powered American sedan simply don’t have any to choose from on dealer lots these days, as those models have effectively been replaced by things like crossovers and SUVs. However, there are plenty of nice, well kept Ford Crown Victoria models out there on the used market to choose from, including this 2000 Police Interceptor.
This 2000 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor is currently up for auction at Bring a Trailer with a mere 17k miles on the clock, after it was used by a police detective as their on-duty work vehicle. That same officer liked his sedan so much that he actually purchased it after retiring as well, though the seller just acquired it this year. Now, it’s up for auction in excellent condition with Vibrant White Clearcoat paint and no flaws noted on the outside whatsoever.
Inside the cabin, this police-spec Crown Vic features Medium Parchment upholstery, a JVC stereo, air conditioning, and power windows and locks. Power comes from the naturally-aspirated 4.6L V8, which was factory-rated to produce 215 horsepower and 285 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. This particular Police Interceptor is also equipped with the optional Handling and Performance Package, which added revised springs, shocks, and stabilizer bars.
If nothing else, this is certainly one of the cleanest Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor models we’ve come across, as these cars tend to be used a lot and subsequently sold missing equipment and sporting plenty of flaws. However, we did find a very nice 2009 model up for auction back in February, which was used as a training tool for PIT maneuvers.

I don’t know why FoMoCo doesn’t sell the Everest in other countries’ like the states and the UK.
