We’ve certainly seen our fair share of automotive-related disasters and issues in recent years, many of them mechanical-related. Some have been documented on places like YouTube, where folks like John Ross of the channel WatchJRGo has spent his fair share of time fixing up various Blue Oval models and driving them or selling them to other parties. The latest such example of this is a 2004 Lincoln LS that belongs to his neighbor, a car that was experiencing a wide array of issues, though Ross was able to get it up and running. Now, that same Lincoln LS is experiencing a very different sort of problem.
In this new video, Ross tackles an ant infestation that has plagued his neighbor’s Lincoln LS, a problem that at least some of us are familiar with. It may sound a bit silly, but dealing with a massive number of ants that have taken up residence inside of a vehicle can be a bit of an ordeal, not to mention an annoying one. To start, Ross notes that he needs to take away the food source that’s causing the ants to want to hang out in the luxury sedan, and there’s plenty of that present in the crevices and cracks.
Ross also adds some ant bait to the Lincoln, which he places strategically throughout with the hopes that it will eliminate all of the pesky insects. That seems to be doing the trick right away, as it isn’t terribly long before the bait traps are filling up with ants, and they just keep on coming at a rather alarming rate. In the meantime, Ross takes a look at some of the codes that the Lincoln LS is displaying, but he believes that those aren’t anything to worry about, at least.
Unfortunately, the ant removal process isn’t exactly a quick one, and Ross will need to revisit this another day, but it’s clear that there are more present in the cracks and crevices of this Lincoln LS than previously expected – a pretty good reminder that it’s not a great idea to leave a car like this sitting unused for too terribly long.
