Lincoln currently fields a lineup of nothing but crossovers and SUVs, but that hasn’t always been the case, of course. Rather, Ford’s luxury arm previously sold a variety of fancy vehicles, including coupes, sedans, and even pickups, the latter of them including the one-year-only Blackwood and the Mark LT, both of which were based on the Ford F-150. The Blackwood has already become a bit of a coveted collectible, and we’re starting to see lots of Lincoln Mark LT pickups hit the auction circuit as well – including this lower-mile 2006 model.
This 2006 Lincoln Mark LT is slated to cross the block at Mecum’s Indianapolis, Indiana auction later this month, and it has a rather low 46k miles showing on the odometer. As such, it looks to be in great shape with tidy black paint and chrome trim on the outside, coupled with chrome alloy wheels, a bedliner, a bed cover, and a flip-out bed extension outside. Inside the cabin, one will find tan leather seating, but we can’t attest to its condition, as the auction listing doesn’t contain any photos of the interior at all – save for the odometer.
Regardless, these trucks came with plenty of niceties from the factory including a rearview camera, driver-seat position memory, power-adjustable pedals, automatic climate control, cruise control, power windows and locks, and heated power-adjustable front bucket seats. Power for this Lincoln Mark LT comes from the naturally-aspirated 5.4L V8, which was factory-rated to produce 300 horsepower and 365 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission.
We tend to come across Lincoln Mark LT pickups on the collector car auction circuit quite frequently, and this 2006 model is just the latest example of that. In recent months, we’ve also spotted a 2007 Mark LT with 94k miles on the clock, a 2006 with 47k miles, and another 2006 with 78k miles.

Lincoln lineup has been going backwards. Back in the last century or even the first two decades of this one, Lincoln had very interesting luxury vehicles. Today with it´s incomplete lineup of only boring cookie cutter impractical SUV´s and crossover is nothing but a vulgar joke compared to what it once was. I owed a couple of Lincoln Town Cars, but today´s Lincoln lineup, I don´t even consider it when buying a car. The day Lincoln produces a luxury sedan or a luxury sports coupe, then I will consider Lincoln. Not before.
This truck was one of the vehicles that represented the beginning of the end for Lincoln. By this time Lincoln just had a bunch of engineered offerings. This truck was particularly tacky with the glue-on tailgate lights that looked like something from the JC Whitney catalog.
I have a 2006 Mark LT with 91,000 miles. It has a 6″ lift and oversized tires. Which probably ruins any resale value it may have had.
