There have certainly been some interesting special edition versions of the Ford F-150 produced throughout that model’s illustrious history, by both The Blue Oval itself and various aftermarket companies. One of those is the 2014 Ford F-150 Tonka Edition, of which just 500 were produced in total. Paying homage to the bright yellow toys many of us grew up playing with, the 2014 Ford F-150 Tonka Edition is a rare sight today, which makes this particular example something extra special.
This 2014 Ford F-150 Tonka Edition is slated to be auctioned off at Mecum’s upcoming Tulsa, Oklahoma sale in June, and it’s number 232 of those aforementioned 500 units produced in total by by Tuscany Motor Company of Elkhart, Indiana. This one-owner machine currently has 20k miles on the clock and looks to be in great condition, sporting nice bright yellow paint, chrome trim, a dual-intake hood, custom cladding, large fender flares, and Tonka badging.
This F-150 Tonka Edition rolls on a set of chrome 20-inch wheels wrapped with 35×12.5-inch Nitto Ridge Grappler tires, and sits up extra high thanks to Pro-Comp six-inch lift kit and heavy-duty shock absorbers. Special touches are also present inside the cabin, where this pickup is equipped with Tonka embroidered headrests, along with all of the niceties one would expect to find in a Lariat-trimmed F-150, such as dual-zone automatic climate control, wood trim, leather seats, and a touchscreen.
Power for this particular pickup comes from the naturally-aspirated 5.0L V8 Coyote engine, which was originally rated to produce 360 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. That power flows to either the rear or all four wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission, a two-speed transfer case, and a 3.73-geared rear axle. Though they rarely pop up for sale in any condition, we did spot another F-150 Tonka Edition on the auction circuit back in March 2023, which had 77k miles on the clock.

Did you know that Tonka boughrt a real Ford truck, then tossed that truck and a Tonka model over a cliff? The Ford was destroyed but the Tonka survived with only scratches!
