2017 Ford Focus RS With Less Than 20 Miles Up For Auction

Unfortunately for a lot of Blue Oval fans, production of the Ford Focus is slated to end this coming November, marking the end of an era. Of course, the Focus has been absent from Ford’s U.S. lineup for some time now, but we continue to come across nice examples of that model that routinely surface for sale at collector car auctions. These are usually performance-focused ST or RS variants, oftentimes with few miles on the clock, and now, this incredibly low-mile 2017 Ford Focus RS becomes the latest to entice enthusiasts in the market for a true old school hot hatch.

This 2017 Ford Focus RS is up for grabs at Bring a Trailer with a mere 17 miles showing on the odometer, making it perhaps the lowest-mile model of its kind left on the planet. The original owner clearly hasn’t driven it at all after purchasing the hatchback new from Don Sanderson Ford in Glendale, Arizona years ago, seemingly keeping it in the wrapper with the hopes of one day selling it for a big profit. Whether or not that will be the case remains to be seen, but this is clearly a desirable vehicle, if nothing else.

Interestingly, the Frozen White paint on this Ford Focus RS isn’t perfect – there are some scratches on the front bumper cover – but otherwise, it seems to be in excellent like-new condition. That’s true of the interior, which features Charcoal Black leather and Miko Dinamica microsuede upholstery, Recaro front bucket seats, SYNC infotainment, and a Sony audio system. Power comes from the turbocharged 2.3L I-4 EcoBoost engine, which was factory rated to produce 350 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque, flowing to all four wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox and Dynamic Torque Vectoring.

This low-mile Ford Focus RS is just the latest of several nice examples we’ve spotted at auction as of late, which is great news for fans of Blue Oval hot hatches, in general. That list also includes a 2016 model with 6k miles, as well as a pair of 2017 model year Focus RS hatches – one with 24k miles, and another with 44k miles.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
