2024 Ford GT MK IV Up For Auction

The last generation Ford GT was originally slated to go out of production following the 2022 model year, but production continued not only into 2023, but also, 2024, as Ford Authority previously reported. The LM Edition was intended to represent that model’s last gasp, but shortly thereafter, FoMoCo unveiled the non-street-legal Ford GT Mk IV, which pays tribute to the original Mk IV that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Now, this 2024 Ford GT Mk IV is up for auction, giving someone the chance to own a rather rare and special example of the discontinued supercar.

This particular Ford GT Mk IV is up for grabs at Bring a Trailer, and it’s number seven of the 67 such models that were built in total. It has just 29 miles on the clock, and was custom ordered by the selling dealer with a $95k custom livery in Frozen White and Sonic Blue Pearl, currently protected by $14k worth of paint protection film. It’s certainly easy to distinguish a Mk IV from a regular Ford GT, thanks to its carbon-fiber longtail bodywork, unique aero bits, and a longer wheelbase, plus gloss black 18-inch center lock wheels.

Inside, this Mk IV is a full-blown race car with carbon-fiber fixed-back Sparco seats trimmed in black cloth, blue Sparco harnesses, a full roll cage, a fire-suppression system, drilled pedals, a carbon-fiber multi-function steering yoke, MoTeC side-view camera display screens, and a rotary gear selector. Power comes from an enlarged version of the twin-turbocharged 3.5L V6 EcoBoost that displaces 3.8L and cranks out 800 horsepower. That power flows to the rear wheels via an Xtrac seven-speed sequential transaxle and a mechanical limited-slip differential.

Underneath, the Ford GT Mk IV features a pushrod suspension with Multimatic Adaptive Spool Valve dampers, plus Bosch motorsport traction control and anti-lock braking systems, while braking duties are handled by Alcon carbon-ceramic brakes. It’s a truly rare and special model, albeit one that figures to rake in eye-popping money at auction, too.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
