2025 Ford Explorer: All Standard And Optional Audio Systems

Audio system features and offerings are often a key consideration when new-vehicle shopping, whether a buyer considers themselves an audiophile or not. The 2025 Ford Explorer offers a range of audio systems, ranging from basic bundles to more advanced packages that can turn a simple trip by car into a personal concert venue.

Six-Speaker Audio System

Standard fare on the 2025 Ford Explorer Active is the six-speaker sound system, which adds no extra cost to the crossover’s retail price. This system features AM/FM stereo capabilities and is MP3 compatible, meaning drivers and passengers can hook up their personal media player. It also features speed-compensated volume, which ups the loudness the faster the vehicle is traveling, while SiriusXM with 360L is also available. That includes a three-month SiriusXM subscription up front, although if 2025 Explorer owners want to continue using it beyond that time frame, they’ll have to shell out for it.

10-Speaker Bang & Olufsen Audio System

The 2025 Ford Explorer ST-Line and ST get an upgrade compared to the base Active trim in the form of the 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen (B&O) audio system, which includes a subwoofer as well. This trim also benefits from speed-compensated volume, AM/FM radio, and with SiriusXM capabilities.

14-Speaker Bang & Olufsen Audio System

There are two ways to get the 14-speaker B&O sound system. It’s standard on the 2025 Ford Explorer Platinum and includes all the aforementioned goodies, but it can also be had as part of the optional Sun and Sound Package offered on the ST trim. This package includes the 14-speaker B&O system, along with multicontour seats with ActiveMotion and the Panoramic Vista Roof with Power Shade for $2,995.

It’s worth noting that the 2025 Ford Explorer regained the SecuriCode keyless entry keypad as part of Job 2 production, as Ford Authority recently reported, which is a $455 option and is available on all trim levels. Two new 21-inch wheel options joined the list, while the crossover dropped Iconic Silver Metallic.

Production of the 2025 Explorer occurs at the Chicago Assembly plant. Pricing starts at $39,625, not including destination freight charges.
