The refreshed 2025 Ford Explorer brought more than just exterior looks to the crossover. It received completely new tech and a revamped cockpit, too, upgrading its accommodations for the drivers and passengers. At the heart of the redesigned cockpit is a brand-new infotainment screen, standard across the lineup and the only one available.
The 2025 Ford Explorer features a generous 13.2-inch touchscreen across all trims. That means the Active, ST-Line, ST, and Platinum trims all share the same display. The LCD screen is full-color, too, allowing access to the Ford Digital Experience, a first for the crossover – and for the greater Blue Oval lineup. In fact, the 2025 Explorer is the first Ford model to feature the Google-based operating system, which Ford Authority recently explored in-depth.
A single standard screen differs from the 2024 model year Explorer’s choice of two different setups. Standard equipment on the outgoing model was the eight-inch center stack-mounted infotainment screen, which was basic across all trims. Buyers could acquire a larger 10-inch screen for an extra cost, however. It was included in several bundles, including the Limited Technology Package; the Premium Technology Package offered on ST, King Ranch, and Platinum; or the Technology Package on ST, King Ranch, and Platinum trims.
In addition to the brand-new touchscreen, the 2025 Ford Explorer gains available BlueCruise for the first time, bringing the automaker’s advanced semi-autonomous driving features to the nameplate for the first time. It also features a crisp 12.3-inch instrument cluster, relaying important information to the driver. Other interior goodies include available ActiveX seating surfaces, silver mesh accents, and a redesigned dashboard that’s been moved forward to improve legroom all around. Eagle-eyed owners and passersby may notice the crossover’s unique Easter eggs, too.
The 2025 Ford Explorer is built at the Chicago Assembly plant, where operations began in May 2024. Pricing starts at $39,755 for the base Active trim, up slightly from the 2024 model after receiving a mid-year price increase.

More checkbox compliant tech nobody wants. Lose the bull$hit software and cut 5000 from the price. And fix the damn A10 transmission for once.
