The Ford F-150 joined Australia’s lineup back in 2023, where it’s being treated to a right-hand drive conversion by a company called RMA Automotive. However, while customers in the U.S. (and other parts of the world) have since taken delivery of the refreshed Ford F-150, that same model was recently pushed back to mid-2025 for Australia, after it was previously delayed to Q1 of this year. Now, we’re learning that the 2025 Ford F-150 destined for that part of the world will indeed arrive in Australia soon, and it will do so with an expanded lineup as well.
According to CarSales, the 2025 Ford F-150 will arrive in Australia not only in XLT and Lariat trims as is currently the case, but also, the range-topping Platinum. Regardless, that model will only reportedly be available with one powertrain, as is the case with the XLT and Lariat – the twin-turbocharged 3.5L V6 EcoBoost, as well as in SuperCrew configuration only, but with an option for short or long beds.
In the U.S., the latest iteration of the F-150 features revised styling on the outside, coupled with new features like the Pro Access Tailgate, a standard 12-inch infotainment screen, and a new base engine – the turbocharged 2.7L V6 EcoBoost. As Ford Authority previously reported, the next-generation Ford F-150 has been pushed back to mid-2028, which is notable given the fact that the 15th generation model – code-named P736 – was previously expected to launch in 2027.
For those hoping to see the Ford F-150 Raptor land in Australia, well, that unfortunately won’t be happening, as Kay Hart, head of Ford’s International Markets Group (IMG), recently poured cold water on that possibility as such a move would apparently require additional engineering and investments that may or may not be worthwhile from a financial standpoint. Aussie buyers are getting something Americans won’t be, however – the new Ford Ranger Super Duty, an ultra-capable version of that mid-size hauler.
