The Tesla Supercharger network is now open to owners of electric vehicles from all manufacturers. However, vehicles like Ford EVs that feature Combined Charging Standard (CCS) must be fitted with North American Charging Standard (NACS) adapters in order to take advantage of the Tesla chargers. Enter the the Ford Fast Charging Adapter, which makes any Ford EV compatible with NACS spec chargers, including the 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E. Previously, owners of the electric crossover could order the Fast Charging Adapter in a bundle with the Mobile Power Cord, but now, they’re offered as two separate items.
As of Job 2 production, the Mobile Power Cord and Fast Charging Adapter are no longer a bundled option for the 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E. The Mobile Power Cord is a $500 extra, and includes a switchable cord end to allow charge functionality with either 120 volt or 240 volt outlets. The Fast Charging Adapter, which is priced at $200, is rated for up to 500 amps and 1,000 volts. In order to acquire both, Mustang Mach-E owners should expect to shell out $700 total.
It’s worth noting that the charging bundle for the 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning is priced at $600, which includes both the adapter and the power cord.
The Ford Fast Charging Adapter is extremely robust and underwent rigorous testing to ensure it would remain functional in even the most extreme conditions, like freezing or being run over by a vehicle.
As a reminder, the 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E is subject to tariffs because it’s built at the Cuautitlan Assembly plant in Mexico. That means its pricing is slowly climbing. In fact, the base Select trim with rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and the Standard Range battery now costs $37,995 to start, not including destination freight charges (DFC). That represents a $1,500 increase in cost since January. On the other end of the spectrum, the Mustang Mach-E Rally received a $2,495 price increase since the start of the year, and now starts at $58,490.
