Following hot on the heels of its complete redesign for the 2024 model year, the 2025 Ford Ranger retains its predecessor’s tech-focused cockpit. That setup includes one of two available infotainment touchscreens, and below, Ford Authority explains each one and how to get it.
The smaller of the two screens is the 10-inch center stack display found in the entry level 2025 Ford Ranger XL as well as the XLT trims. That screen runs Sync 4, which allows for functions like enhanced voice recognition, 911 Assist, along with phone connectivity facilitated through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This is the only touchscreen available for the XLT, and it’s paired with the eight-inch digital instrument cluster.
Meanwhile, the 2025 Ford Ranger Lariat and Raptor sport the 12-inch center stack display, which is also offered as an upgrade for the XLT 301 package. This interface also operates on Sync 4 technology, and offers all of the same infotainment features as mentioned above. It’s paired with the 12-inch digital instrument cluster, making for a larger display setup all around.
The 2025 Ford Ranger lineup received a minor price bump compared to the 2024 model year pickup it replaced. The base rear-wheel-drive (RWD) XL trim starts at $32,980, not including destination freight charges (DFC). However, when fully kitted out, the midsize pickup can cost well over $60,000 – but only if one opts for the range-topping Ranger Raptor with all the bells and whistles.
Aside from minor alterations to its pricing structure, the 2025 Ranger hardly differs from its 2024 model year predecessor. As Ford Authority recently reported, standout changes include the renaming of the Chrome Appearance Package, and the FX4 Off-Road Package now features blackwall tires instead of the previously included Outlined White Letter (OWL) tires. It also ditches its factory installed keypad in favor of a dealer-installed option.
Production of the 2025 Ford Ranger at the Michigan Assembly plant kicked off on January 2nd, 2025. The midsize pickup has already been commended for its exceptional value and reliability, named the 2025 North American Truck of the Year.

This article is woefully incomplete and poorly researched. It says the 12” center display isn’t available in the XLT, which is wrong. It available in the XLT with the 301 package.
“Woefully incomplete” is a bit dramatic for one single screen missing, but thank you for bringing that to my attention. The text has been updated to reflect availability in XLT.
The “chrome” package in 2024 got ya chrome mirrors, strip near side windows, front and rear bumper, exhaust tip and included the stand alone $215 side step , all for just $215 for chrome package. If you ordered $698 running boards they were chrome. 2025 chrome package went to nearly $700, step not included but $215…Chrome running boards not available, exhaust tip and mirror covers went away. Thus less chrome for $700 more.
