2026 Lexus RZ Debuts As Updated Lincoln Corsair Rival

Lincoln doesn’t currently have an all-electric vehicle in its lineup after the luxury brand decided not to focus on that type of technology just over a year ago. Thus, the Lincoln Corsair soldiers on with pure ICE and PHEV options and continues to sell rather well, though it faces an uncertain future with the Louisville Assembly plant (where the luxurious crossover is built) slated to undergo a major retooling late this year in preparation for a new all-electric model. Now, the Corsair has an updated all-electric rival to contend with – the refreshed 2026 Lexus RZ, which just made its official debut.

The 2026 Lexus RZ is getting a variety of updates alongside its mainstream counterpart, the 2026 Toyota bZ – formerly known as the bZ4X. Like the Toyota EV crossover, the RZ is addressing some complaints from customers by adding a variety of tweaks, which start with a revamped trim level lineup consisting of the base front-wheel drive RZ350e, the all-wheel drive RZ450e, and the new RZ55e F Sport.

Power and range have improved in some cases, with the RZ350e getting 221 horsepower (20 more than before), along with 34 additional miles of range, bringing that total up to 300 miles. The RZ450e stays put with 308 horsepower but gets 40 more miles of range to up that figure to 260 miles, while the RZ550e F Sport gets a healthier 402 horsepower and 225 miles of range, coupled with unique features such as a sportier front grille, 20-inch wheels, and a rear spoiler. All 2026 Lexus RZ models come with an improved 11 kW onboard AC charger and a NACS charge port that enables them to utilize Tesla Superchargers without an adapter.

Capping off these changes are a redesigned interior with a panoramic glass roof that’s been tweaked to provide a clearer view and additional shade, while F Sport models get Ultrasuede material, optional blue stitching, and F Sport badging throughout. Lexus hasn’t announced pricing info for the revamped RZ yet, but it’s currently slated to go on sale some time next year.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

  1. I think the people at Lexus (and Toyota, it’s parent) should get international honors for the flat-ass ugliest cars ever produced.
