Ford Bronco Shock Guard Skid Plates Debut For Non-Raptor Lineup

As most are well aware by now, the sixth-generation Ford Bronco has a tremendous number of parts and accessories available for purchase via the Ford Performance catalog, in addition to the ever-burgeoning aftermarket. Bronco owners certainly have a plethora of ways they can customize their rugged SUVs to look different, offer up more in the way of tech, increase power, or just improve that model’s off-road capability. Now, the non-Raptor sixth-gen Ford Bronco is getting yet another new offering via the Ford Performance catalog – a pair of shock tower skid plates.

This new Ford Bronco shock tower skid plate pair is now available in the Ford Performance catalog under part number M-2500-SG, with a retail price of $220. The parts are specifically designed to fit 2021-2024 models, though it’s unclear why 2025 isn’t listed. Regardless, these skid plates are made from 3/16-inch steel and are intended to reinforce the factory shock mount and protect it from off-road obstacles and debris.

This new shock tower skid plate set is just the latest of many new parts and accessories that Ford Bronco owners have to choose from. Just last month, that catalog expanded to include a premium floor mat set designed to fit all 2021-2025 Ford Bronco models that features premium-grade black 60 oz carpeting designed to perfectly match the exact contour of that vehicle’s floor. It was followed by a pair of covers for the Bronco Rigid 360-Series LED Off-Road Light Kit, too.

Earlier this month, the Bronco also gained a new upgraded half shaft kit that improves the off-road capability of the newest generation of the Ford Bronco, as these half shafts utilize higher-strength materials for added durability, and enable more articulation for extreme off-roading purposes such as rock climbing. It contains 29-spline half shafts that fit all 2021-2025 Ford Bronco models equipped with the M210 front drive unit (otherwise known as the factory e-locker axle).

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
