The Ford Authority Take

Ford Colombia sales poor showing in the first quarter of the year reflects the brand’s recent instability in the South American country, where it began 2025 with a roller coaster ride. Despite the overall negative result, Ford ended Q1 with a slight increase in March, but this was not enough to offset the declines in January and February.

Despite the Ford Ranger’s solid growth and its recent position as the best-selling vehicle in the country, most Ford Colombia models suffered significant double-digit declines, tipping the scales downward. Among them, the Ford Escape stands out, with the largest loss in volume and also its usual position as the American firm’s most popular vehicle in the Colombian market.

Similarly, the Ford Bronco Sport suffered a severe setback in the first quarter, suddenly dropping it to the bottom of the brand’s rankings. The compact crossover’s decline is due to the transition to the refreshed model, which will soon be available in Colombia, and the replenishment of the model’s currently depleted inventory.
