A bright van might stand out on the road, but visibility means nothing if the driver behind the wheel of said is the one not paying attention. Unfortunately, that was the case with a glaringly yellow Ford E-Series whose careless driver managed to hit not one, but two unsuspecting Honda drivers, costing them both dearly.
Posted on the popular Reddit community r/IdiotsInCars, the original poster – who was driving one of the wrecked vehicles -captured video from a security system outside of a business. The camera’s view shows a parking lot with a Honda Passport parked well within its lines while the Ford E-Series lurks in the background like the monster in a bad horror film.
The Ford E-Series makes its first mistake out on the road. The driver doesn’t even seem to be looking as they crank the wheel to the left, diving across traffic right in the path of a black Honda Accord, which was being driven by the original poster, heading the opposite direction. The two vehicles make heavy contact. The Accord stops, but the yellow E-Series doesn’t.
As one commenter points out, it appears that the van’s driver failed to wear a seatbelt and was knocked into the passenger’s seat. Without a guiding hand, the E-Series keeps going and slam into the Passport’s right rear with enough force to snap it around, shoving it over a wheel stop in the process. After striking the Passport, the driver appears to regain control, reversing to get the vehicles unstuck and taking off while the crossover’s driver gets out and looks on with incredulity.
The original poster says that he gave chase to the Ford E-Series, which attempted a U-turn in a strip mall. They got the plate off the bright yellow E-Series but weren’t able to track the van. Thankfully, another bystander who witness the crashes chased the van until it broke down. The driver made off on foot and it’s not clear if authorities have located them yet, but the van itself was seized.
Idiot turns in front of me, and then coasts into a parked car. Hit and run [OC]

Left turns can be risky. The driver of a Ford Expedition did something similar, taking out an innocent cammer. A Ford F-150 tangled with a Ram when its driver decided their left turn was more important than watching out for other motorists, too.

The E-Series driver was careless and wasn’t paying attention to their surroundings. The icing on the cake was when they backed up and scraped the Honda again.
