We’ve certainly seen our fair share of towing mishaps over the years, even as technology has improved to the point where such a task has become as easy as it’s ever been. Perhaps that isn’t a good thing, as towing even something like a large boat with a Ford F-150 is so easy these days that one could even forget that they’re pulling anything at all. That clearly seems to be the case with this Ford F-150 driver, who at the very least didn’t realize that his massive boat presented a big problem for cars parked in the street it was traveling down, either.

In this video posted to Reddit recently, we get to witness this incident via what appears to be someone’s doorbell camera – the same person who owns the Nissan Xterra that is the victim here. That SUV was parked on the side of the road minding its own business, at least, until the Ford F-150 driver attempted to get around it, but clearly misjudged the sheer size of the boat they were towing. As a result, the boat smashed into the poor Xterra.
Making matters worse, the F-150 driver clearly didn’t notice this at first, and proceeded to try and continue to drive forward, literally pulling the Nissan in the process. Somewhat humorously, the driver then got out of their truck, walked back to survey the damage, and decided to continue driving forward until the boat was separated from the SUV, which just caused further damage. According to the Xterra’s owner, the driver did at least ring their doorbell and provide his phone number for insurance purposes.
This certainly isn’t the first time we’ve seen a seemingly routine towing session go wrong, however. Earlier this year, we witnessed as another Ford F-150 driver destroyed an older Honda Accord while attempting to tow it, after which we saw a Ford Super Duty roll away with a tractor in tow, as well as a Ford Expedition pulling a Saab down a Texas highway with the older drop top swaying around and nearly striking just about anything in a close proximity.

Towing that “Dingy” with an F150 is sending a boy to do a man’s job. File this one under “Great lapses in judgement”
