The Ford Super Duty lineup is no stranger to Vincentric’s Best Fleet Value in America Awards, as the F-250 and F-350 took home top honors in the full-size 3/4 ton and one-ton segments back in 2023, followed by a 3/4 ton pickup segment win for the F-250 XL in last year’s version of those awards. Now that the 2025 Vincentric Best Fleet Value in America Awards have been revealed, we’re learning that the Ford Super Duty F-250 has topped that same segment for the fifth consecutive year, too – once again, in base XL trim, specifically.
The Ford F-250 Super Duty XL pickup finished first in the 3/4 ton pickup segment of the 2025 Best Fleet Value in America Awards, outperforming 163 competitor trims in the process and winning 14 of 28 lifecycle cost scenarios. The F-250 managed to beat out its competition by posting the lowest insurance, maintenance, and operating costs in its class, too. On top of that, the F-250 was joined by the Ford Maverick XL, which topped the small truck category for the fourth straight year.
Each year, Vincentric comes up with this list after performing a cost of ownership analysis based on how commercial fleets typically use their vehicles, using eight cost factors – depreciation, fees & taxes, financing, fuel, insurance, maintenance, opportunity cost, and repairs. For 2025, Vincentric performed that same analysis for more than 3,000 different vehicle configurations based on typical fleet use, and winners were identified by determining which vehicles had the lowest fleet lifecycle cost in the most scenarios within its segment.
“The Vincentric Best Fleet Value in America Awards are now in their twentieth year of providing valuable insight and guidance to the fleet industry,” said David Wurster, Vincentric President. “With nearly every segment this year being won by a returning winner, our awards can help fleet professionals identify vehicles that have a history of providing great value year after year.”
